Yemenite Lives Matter

Ir Amim together with local Arabs may be incessantly trying to erase all Jewish life returning to the Shiloach (Kfar HaTeimanim-Shiloach), but they will not succeed.

Because Yemenite Lives Matter !!! (And Sefardi lives matter).

Because our connection to Jerusalem will never be severed.

Because the history of the Yemenite Jews in the Shiloach will never be forgotten.

Because we aren’t afraid of Moslem, left wing or world pressure.

Ir Amim ( A radical Left wing organization) who is primarily funded by the German Government and other meddling European countries, has once again gone to the Israeli courts in an attempt to stop the Israeli Government from investing in the Shiloach to restore an old Yemenite Synagogue and heritage center.

The Benvenisti Sanctified Trust together with Ateret Cohanim have been able to locate and ultimately redeem the old Yemenite Beit Knesset in the Shiloach. Arab squatters had desecrated the Synagogue complex for over 70 years, from the time that the Yemenite and Sefardi Jews were both driven out of the Shiloach by the Arabs and and evicted by the British Authorities in the 1930s.

The Supreme Court of Israel recognized the Yemenite/Sefardi Synagogue complex as part of the Hekdesh (Sanctified Trust) and ruled that the Arab families inside the complex – were illegal squatters.

Today there are over 40 Jewish families who have returned to the Shiloach and the original Synagogue complex is once again back in Jewish hands. The Trust embarked on the huge project to restore the old Synagogue and together with Ateret Cohanim managed to get the Government to  also participate in the restoration project as a heritage site.

The Center – today called the “Lamm Yemenite Synagogue and Cultural centre” will be the focal point of the fledgling Jewish neighborhood and is currently under massive and costly restoration.

It was hoped that the Government would also be able to financially  assist in restoring the old Yemenite Heritage centre as the overall project is expected to cost $3.5 million.

Private funding, especially from Lamm Family of Australia has ensured that the project will continue, notwithstanding the disgraceful attempts by left wing radicals like  Ir Amim to wipe out both the Sefardi and Yemenite history of the area, and stop the Government from channeling funds towards this unique project.

G-d willing, Ir Amim and its European meddling backers will once again fail in court and the Synagogue complex will be restored to its previous glory.

The nations of the world can try to stop the redemption of Jerusalem and millions of dollars can be spent on supporting left wing groups in Israel. But they will not succeed. Belief in Hashem and His road map, coupled with perseverance of the Jewish people will overcome all.

Pharaoh learned the hard way. The Babylonians ultimately learned and so did the Greek armies and a host of other pathetic conquerors.

Am Yisrael Chai !!!

If you wish to participate in this or other projects in the Shiloach (Or Old City, Maaleh HaZeitim, Kidmat Zion.) and partner with Ateret Cohanim – please be in touch.

Jerusalem needs you.
